Have you noticed how so many companies just have rubbish ads, you find one you think you can work with, but look at the banner ads!!! Who on earth would ever click on some of them!

A lot I think still pull there ideas from TV and newspaer advertising, come on woolworths!! :p

I mostly use text links - they convert better for me too.

same here. if a web visitor sees a banner and it dosnt dosply what they are looking for they wont click, but if there is a tex link and they think hmmm i wonder if woolworths have what i want they will 8/10 click.

You are right: Woolworths don't really know what they are doing. Both their online and offline operations are in dire straights and, according to a recent report, it seems like many people won't miss them if they are no longer around.
