other than football, boxing & the dog/horses, the whole sports betting thing in the uk is not as big as the us, but on the other hand there is a lot less compition here in the uk, thats not to say there isnt any, i think it is a highly competitive area, especially for aff marketing, to run your own site would be hughly profitable i have no doubt but it would take a large marketing budget there's always the risk that the first week you operate you get a lot of winners and you lose everything, unless your a millionaire, i would suggest a few affiliate programs that i could recommend,

A Live Score update type site with links to bookmakers etc could work for this type of name. It'd be well suited to that kind of thing and it shouldn't be all that difficult to set up.

The livescore site appears to cover a number of sports, but unfortunately not rugby. I had a good look around and this is the closest I could find:
Free Livescore, Free Live Scores, Free Live Score Feeds, XML, HTML, RSS, Widget & Livescore Toolbar by ScoresPro.com (the bottom code)
When implemented it looks like this:
Rugby Livescore - Rugby Results - Live Rugby Scores - Rugby Live Scores by ScoresPro.com
It lists it as being a rugby live 'results' feed, whereas the others are listed as score feeds. Perhaps then they only update it after the match, rather than during. Either way, it's probably worth checking out.
