I am aware that the regular way of parking domain names with Sedo is by setting the following nameservers: NS1.SEDOPARKING.COM NS2.SEDOPARKING.COM However for some of our domain names, we need to be able to use our webhost's nameservers so we can continue to read emails sent to the domains. We have been trying to see if we can use a URL forward with Sedo. I have found this guidance on Sedo's website. It states: "Or you can forward your domain's URL to http://www.sedoparking.com/domain.com where 'domain.com' is replaced by your domain name." Maybe the advice is dated as it doesn't work. How can we set something like this up please? What exact URL do we use? When we try a URL like the following, nothing appears, only an error message stating "This site can’t be reached": http://www.sedoparking.com/domainnameplacedhere.com It then redirects to an error page at http://xml.sedodna.com/click?i=XKsBnXgLdmE_0 We have tried this Sedo Parking URL structure with many of our domain names registered with Sedo for sale, but none of them work. How can we retain control of the nameservers so that we can use the email addresses for our domain names and yet have them using Sedo's parking pages? We've tried contacting Sedo, but are not getting responses. Thanks.
That is the first lesson of the day. Here's the second... If you just want a sales lander, try framing or 301/302 to... https://sedo.com/search/details?domain=azam.net If you want parking pages (with ads) then use Sedo 'A' records for root, www & * but set the MX records to your existing mail server. You can check their FAQ for their latest generic 'A' records for parking. Don't forget to add the domains to your account too.
Thank you for very helpful advice gimpydog. In case they're useful to anyone else, Sedo parking's CNAME and 'A' record settings are here.
