I think the buyer bought it to maybe cash in on the Nasa robot that has been in recent news : http://science.nasa.gov/science-news/science-at-nasa/2009/30oct_curiosity/ I might be wrong though, but I was more than happy with the price I got

Curiosity_com is owned by the Discovery Channel and Unilever have a mark for the term for the UK market.

Mark Monitor represent some big clients.

Yeh I did notice that The Discovery channel owned the .com

It was a tough one to counter as it was via SEDO and I obviously couldn't do any investigative work on the buyer - at least I was happy with the price, and probably wouldn't have got higher elsewhere anyway.

The reason I thought it was related to the Nasa robot, was because a new story was released 6 hours before they made me the opening offer : http://spacefellowship.com/news/art23872/camera-on-curiosity-s-arm-will-magnify-clues-in-rocks.html

Again maybe it was a coinicidence.
