I'm a bit confused about it after doing some searches

Agreed, very cheap indeed. Short, easy to spell, memorable .com's that can be used as a global brand often go for much more. When you consider something like Responive.com sold for $150,000, SuperSeats.com for $48,888 or Heika.com $300,000.
