i'm trying to find reliable shopping cart software to build into a website I'm doing. Can anyone give me some advice and tell me what to look for and what I shouldn't get? Or even suggest some software?

Depends on what you want from it. You can have anything from paypal buttons on a page to a fully fledged commercial grade shopping cart like actinic.

What scripting language? php has the most 'free' software like oscommerce & cubecart.
