Any idea of a value please? I had an email from Sedo as someone is interested in buying it. I use the .co.uk for my business

Thank you
Alan

If the .co.uk is for your business then don't sell the .com, why feed the cybersqautters ? that's people who trade as you, they can make money out of your business name or even worse put your business name into a bad light, if this is case then it is worth a negative effect on your business.

DO NOT SELL !

uuummm fair point - We are not a brand and get next to no direct searches for our name. All our sales come via Google. You might be right - although I would be tempted if they made a good offer. So far they offered £400 - any thoughts?

I think they are upto no good for sure, why don't they just register onlypatioheaters, directpatioheaters or similar for only the reg fee

On a postive note, I have seen a few merchants using these domains for eg simplyswim, simplybeach, simplygames, simplyhike, simplyelectricals, simplypaving and more, I would imagine it's all the same business.

If it's them then ask for £1500 they might go for it ? otherwise don't sell, £1500 and knowing they won't rip you off is good but cybersquatters is bad.

fair point about if they already own other sites starting with simply... which case they might have deeper pockets!

Can you think of a way you could put it into a contract that they won't cybersqautter or make any mention of our .co.uk site etc...

Thanks for your help

Put on your site that simplypatioheaters is your trademark, you don't need it registerd, as long you can prove you have been trading with it then you should be ok, in your contract tell them you are giving them a lifetime licence to use your trademark but make some conditions such as they don't portray your business/site.

BTW > I am not a lawyer or legally trained but just giving you what I know.

Good luck

Don't sell it.... if you want to sell the site in the future it will definately make it more attractive to buyers if they can purchase both names.

Also, as already mentioned, yourself and any potential purchaser don't need the competition.
