I have bitten the bullet and decided to put this domain name up for sale.
I am open to offers either through here or via private messages.

Thanks for looking :)

Thanks guys,
Any more for any more?

Some facts to whet your appetite:

  • Social games are the fastest growing segment of the gaming market with revenues projected to exceed $1 billion in 2011 and to be in excess of $5 billion by 2015.
  • Set to become a billion dollar industry, the sector is attracting strong marketing investment, from small and medium-sized companies through to blue chips and large multinationals. Just some of the companies who have already invested in this emerging new area include McDonald's, 7- Eleven, Volvo, MTV and Disney.
  • The three biggest social games developers in the market are Zynga, Playfish and Playdom

There we go, mini sales pitch over ;)

BIN offer received at 01:42:18 PM through private message. The buyer didn’t post sold here though.

Thanks for the other offers. I don’t know if admin can verify this to assure everyone? I don’t think I have helped things by sending confusing emails!!
Sorry Boxfish.

Sending me a PM saying you had a higher offer by PM 15 minutes before my 'offer', followed by posting saying you had a BIN by PM an hour before mine just looks a little suspect to me, never mind though.

Yes, my emails weren't very helpful.
I didn't say
BIN by PM an hour before mine
. Not sure where that hour bit came from.
I had a PM 15 minutes prior to yours that was a BIN offer.

I can assure you the only dodgy thing going on here is my ablity to multi task :p

I posted sold at 2:44:16PM

You then posted

That is where the hour came from - as the time of the PM was ~1 hour before my post

Not sure where you are getting 15 minutes from.

Anyway, I'm pretty happy this was just down to poor communication, rather than anything untoward so no worries.

On a related note, which isn't directed at any particular member in this thread, I think all those involved in buying/selling domains (or anything at all for that matter) should do some reading up on the contract law principles of 'offers' compared to 'invitations to treat'.

Indeed WB. But, in fairness not many understand the application of "law-of-contract" and in day-to-day dealings don't need to. I doubt many have ever thought of a "price label on goods" as an invitation to make an offer and nothing more
