How social is your website? SocialRank or "SR" allows you to ascertain the relative popularity of a website according to the social web. It's like Alexa Rank or PageRank but uses exclusively social data. We've been collating data for the past three years and we currently track the top 15 million sites on the web.

We've been in closed beta for a while, and are currently taking a small number of additional beta testers. Ideally people who conduct a lot of domain and website research on a daily basis - so I thought it might be of interest to some of you here... PM me for more info.

guardian.co.uk: SR8. Position 54 (Reference: News)
flippa.com: SR5. Position 6,078
myvouchercodes.co.uk: SR4. Position 21,198
bbc.co.uk: SR8. Position 30
nominet.org.uk: SR2. Position 246,895.
whois-search.com: SR0. Position 2,563,643.

Thought so. I'd be interested to know more about how you rank these sites. Is it something similar to Kred?

Is the SR (Social Rank I presume?) on a scale like page rank, so it goes from N/A to 9?

We use a secret sauce combination of interaction, user authority, reach, history and many other factors across multiple social media platforms. Some of these are viewable to users from inside the site, and some are very much in the realm of IP.

Currently we have SR as a %, out of ten (like PR) and as an absolute/heirarchical score (like Alexa). So we're looking for feedback on those, actually, to see which users prefer.
