(If it was a great domain and I registered it - then I'd donate... but too many nowadays are borderline, that if there was an obligation to donate, then I probably wouldn't register a lot of what I do.... although I haven't registered any in weeks now!... shame on those who didn't say thx or donate :twisted

not hijacking thread but very valid point woopwoop, maybe a new forum with superaccess is in order and a "set" $5 thanks for ALL registered.... seems a shame as jamesuk has posted a few lists and good generics and a lot have been registered (yes there are other ways to tell without the work!) and some peeps do not even say thanks... any thoughts?

I know the feeling James, I rarely list now. I don't demand donations but think it's common courtesy to say thanks, just like it's courtesy to say you've taken one so everyone else doesn't waste their time checking it.
It takes effort to create lists find proxies scan them then sort the lists and post on here which is what people don't appreciate.
If I do lists now I will send them to people who have donated or said thanks in the past rather than let certain people get any.

Totally agree. I'm thinking about compiling a large word list (around the 1000 mark) of available generics and "selling" it for a nominal fee. That way both parties are happy and it's fair.

I'm pretty new to domaining, but have been lurking here for a while trying to absorb all the knowledge from you experts. Now feel about ready to dip a toe or two in the water.
