Hi - I signed up a couple of weeks ago, but have only recently made a couple of posts.

I have about 100 domains acquired over the last 7 or 8 years, mostly 2 or 3 word generics. All but about 10 are .co.uk.

But despite having owned names for a while, I'm really very much a 'newbie' at this and so any help, advice, pointers etc will be greatly appreciated.

Were you wanting to sell some names, or develop some sites or both?

If youre selling names and wish to try and do so on here, i'd suggest keeping prices/offers etc transparent, so if some offers might be miles out you should get a bit of extra feedback so you can make the right decision..

Welcome to the forum Suzi.
Best advice would be to read the forums closely and look for advice that has already been posted. There are lots of useful tips already on here if you look around.

Developing a name that is not a specifically sought after domain, in order to generate traffic will work wonders if you want to create adsense revenue and/or eventually sell the name.

Keep prices realistic and bear in mind that if you sell on this forum, you're not selling to end users (most of the time). They're domainers and as such should be sold we resale values in mind. That said don't sell yourself short either.

Use the valuation section of the site and remember to thank those who help out. It's free and easy to do so if someone puts forth their time, a courtesy thanks is usually welcomed. We'll all do the same in return.

Hi - Thanks everyone for your welcomes, your links and your tips!

I'm here to learn first. Maybe to sell or trade a few domains (but in no rush!) and hopefully to be able to contribute in due course.

I think a few of my names are reasonable (doesn't everybody!!?) and may also ask for some thoughts on the worth of one or two...
