What's the general feeling amongst AD members to the ICANN-Verisign deal - and current domain name pricing?

When you consider what they cost in the early days, what they cost now, and the true value of them (reflected by what they can be independently sold for) - is it time to move away from loss-leader marketing? And would their true value be better perceived if the cost was more substantial?
