I think for £xx,xxx names the .uk and .co.uk will have to be sold as a pair. Who is going to buy the prestige .co.uk, knowing that their competitor could buy the .uk?
Selling them separately reduces the appeal/value of them both.
So the options would be:
1. Combined .uk/.co.uk (at a premium)
2. .org.uk
The same as now.
