The .me.uk Question?

There has been some discussion about .me.uk and it's original purpose, I have the following questions:

Would you buy yourfirstname.me.uk example: aiden.me.uk

Do you own yourfirstname.me.uk

Would you buy anyfirstname.me.uk for resale

Have you sold anyfirstname.me.uk if so was it £x, £xx, £xxx etc......

What value would you put on anyfirstname.me.uk

If you were going to buy a first name domain would you rather have .me.uk or .me assuming every other extension had been regged?

Not a very popular extension even with a generic term i don't believe you'll be getting much money for it.

I would definitely buy my name in a .me.uk to be fair I would probably buy any popular name like Tim,James,Simon etc.
Been there and done the .me thing, bought some sold some and don't bother looking at them anymore.

The .me.uk domain was intended for personal use so a persoanl name domain would fit perfectly. Putting value on such a name is very difficult as it depends on popularity, demend, ego and wealth of any potential buyer. I know from experience that a personal that personal name domain can cost thousands. .me will always be worth more that .me.uk due to the wider market, local vs international.

I personally believe .me.uk domains will increase in value as more gTlds are introduced and the .co.uk become even more rare and increase in price. The .uk has value within the uk weather it be .co.uk, .org.uk or .me.uk. Generic .me.uk are currently undervalued as the general public have little exposure, however as more sites are launched and become successful the market for .me.uk will strengthen.

I'm not British but I would not buy the .me.uk of my name (especially when I own my names in .com).

The .co.uk maybe if appropriate.
.me.uk is okay for low key usage like a personal blog but for anything more business oriented (for instance if you're self-employed) I think it limits you and does not lend any particular credibility.
On a side note, you can have .me. Not saying this is better but some people might consider it.

It's nice too find some positive comments about them although you do seem to be in the minority. Me personally the jury is out, I don't really have any feelings about them either way. If they are a good name they are a good name, with potential value to someone, even if that means waiting for the right buyer.

I own my first name (well, shortened version of) in .me and .org.uk, but I'd be reluctant to buy it in .me.uk...not sure why, I don't really like the look of the extension. It just doesn't seem professional. Having said that, if it were available for reg fee I might be tempted. I got lucky with the .me as I got it for minimum bid in a Godaddy auction and Alien told me about the .org.uk being available

I agree with Blossom -I own Gillian(.me) which is my first name which bizarrely was free to register at the end of last year despite pretty much every other name under the sun being long gone.

I much prefer .me for a personal site than .me.uk -being that bit longer it just seems a bit too much of a mouthful somehow though I certainly would have paid reg cost (and poss slightly more) for it had it been avail.

Names don't do it for me in .Me and certainly not Me.uk. I quite like the word play ones though that occasionally pop up on Dnjournal sales reports like
Wish.me
Tell.me
Phone.me
etc
The only one i'd quite like to own would be f***.me
