As an ex soldier and the son of a soldier, we have moved every 2 to 3 years.
Lessons learnt:
Pack a suitcase and pay for a company to do the rest. OK it costly but divorce and moving house are the two most stressful things in your life. Worth every penny
yes I can agree, moving is so stressful, I moved back from Malta back to the UK and I was moving back to an unfurnished property I had to ensure my ebay deliveries of mattresses and sofa arrived on the correct day else I would have had kids sleeping on the floor, it's hard to put your finger on what causes the stress but it certainly does exist. it could be down to people being creatures of habit and the change in scenery is the unknown quantity we try to avoid.
Cheers Guys I'm actually looking forward to moving , It's the tying up everything externally related
Did anyone see the telegraph cartoon by Alex the otherday
" Two city gents , standing outside a corporate energy suppliers headquarters, one says to the other " Ive got to run home Fred, I think I may have left the Money switched-on"
I moved in June, it was only around the corner but it was still a nightmare. I couldn't believe how much stuff I had. The packing & unpacking alone ate up a whole week.
