.tpl editor help

.tpl files should just contain formatting, and the odd code tag (maybe for looping).

Any text editor will work. You might get weird results, but that's due to it not referencing a stylesheet possibly, or the tpl being a subset of another tpl.

i have a template i want to edit, move menu from right to left etc, but they are .tpl files. how would i change the layout of the tpl files. ie frontpage you can visually see the page in design mode. is this possible with .tpl files?

Paullas, I edit .tpl files using dreamweaver. If you google you'll find out how to modify your program to do so.

Dreamweaver you add .tpl into the configuration file.

Sorry just re-read. I edit the code not visually.
