.Travel domains - thoughts?

I thought about that domain too, but the problem is there are getting to be too many extensions which in turn is diluting the the value of all domains except .com. Unless someone big starts using .travel and registration becomes easier then i am going to wait. People will register the single words and others will register their brands. other than that, i think it is a vanity domain (for now).

I don't think many of the travel companies use the .travel extension.

The only one I have seen advertising a .travel extension is Newmarket Holidays (newmarket.travel)

There are probaly more if you reaserch some more.

I read somewhere that certain criteria had to be met for someone to register a .travel domain to ensure that they were owned by travel companies.

So how will they get sure if...lets say I want to register the one with .travel?? What info they need?
