Mark Pearson started a UK online coupon code business in 2006 for £300 and sold it in 2014 for £55 million to Monitise - MyVoucherCodes.co.uk

He has now launched a new venture capital fund targeting the e-commerce sector Fuel.Ventures. He says he has made 70X Average return on his last 10 e-commerce investments.

Agree with Ian, he's upset alot of people with his ventures, defo not a bloke I would have a pint with.

Love the way when you search for his name this appears in google

"Some results may have been removed under data protection law in Europe. Learn more"

He's defo removed the posts that slate him and his business antics

Upset people because MyVoucherCodes dominated the sector?

You can't blame him for beating the competition, that's business

That's an amazing hit rate, he is clearly very good at it

I think that message appears when you search for anyone's name.

Yep but still a reason I wouldn't want to be involved in anything he promotes...

For the purposes of starting a petty argument I feel the need to point out that individuals do NOT evolve. Evolution requires the mechanism of reproduction and by definition happens over successive generations.

It's impossible to do anything at scale without someone complaining. Sometimes complaints are justified, sometimes not, but complaints themselves are not evidence of wrongdoing. Especially when they come from competitors.

It amazes me he's had so much success on such second rate domain names.

Tbf those posts are from 7 years ago

Because a lot of stuff has been censored or removed. Last thread on the forum listed above was a few months ago but it was removed for 'legal reasons'.

It's a shame Monkey isn't around anymore to confirm this ;)

As I remember Monkey's post contained a lot of accusations and not much evidence, hardly surprising it got taken down, you can't really expect to attack the networks on a network forum.

In fact at least one network did try to provide evidence to show how much traffic was actually getting diverted

It might have stayed up if it had stayed a calm, rational discussion

It wasn't the first thread on the subject to get out of hand but it will probably be the last.
