Part of an experiment into typos...

Just reged a www (no dot) typo of a one word generic name that has a very common typo mis-spelling... Will be monitoring it to see the response...

Anyone done the same? Any +ve results?

Hopefully this makes sense...

Reason I thought I'd give it a shot is:

The original 'actual' one word is highly marketed...

The typo (without www) was reged and being used to fire in traffic...

Goog returns 172k for the typo and 174k for the www typo...

OVT returns 11197 for the typo BUT reverts to the 'actual' generic term...

Nice to know I'm not the only one... :p

I've got no knowledge in this area but, given the stats you've posted above, I'm very curious as to how it turns out in terms of traffic - please let us know once you've got a grip of it :)

Just checked stats and it shows 3 uniques already...

Only reg'ed it half an hour prior to statring the thread and nameservers were changed about 20 minutes prior... So all being equal, it looks to be an interesting experiment already...

Will monitor and update on the dev.
