Looking for a good name in cage fighting/mma sphere, without treading on trademarks ie no use of ufc or mma. For use on a general site about the sport.

Mixed martial arts is a sport, how can it be trademarked?

Do a search and have a look! UFC is more heavily trademarked but someone does have mma as a trademark for training purposes

It's the name of a sport.

Granted, what I know about legal stuff could fit on the back of a stamp, but I'm 99.999% sure having mma as part of your name wouldn't be a problem.

Just need to think of a creative second word, "mma thunder" "mma slam" etc

You should consult someone more in the know on these things obviously, but I would be absolutely shocked if having mma as part of your name would be an issue.

mma definitely can't be trademarked as far as using it in a general ufc type blog goes. UFC is obviously a trademark and they're pretty on the ball about protecting it - they forced mmajunkie.com off of its original domain years back (ufcjunkie.com)
