How long though before the .uk pushes aside the .co.uk and becomes the no.1?
At the end of the day would it not be about how the search engines like Google, Bing and Yahoo feel about the new .uk? As they are the ones that put a site in a postion in the Serp.
My point is, will any "wronged " business be prepared to brand the name in the hope that the co.uk dies any kind of death ? ( which it won't )
This is just a method of adding more options, more confusion, and more cost to the domain industry, with winners and losers resulting.
And in the meantime creating an enormous cloud over the developement of the UK's webspace.
