Manage to get the shorten version of unified communications (a growing technology sector). What do you guys think?

It could be argued the shortened version would be unifiedcomm.co.uk.

EDIT actually, scrap that, I see com is used a lot.

Regardless, my view is you will need patience and luck to make a sale.

I have the patience and 'comm' as well, so I am holding out for the luck. Hope to put a few pages to it soon and see.

Did you buy the name with a view to a sale or developing? I do wish you well with it, but my personal experience is that you have to be quite careful with assessing saleability of high tech names.

The other issue I have with the name from a marketing point of view is that the com bit could get mistaken for the domain extension.

You could start by putting a site with links to the popular communications tools though, that might be some sort of unification.

I did, either as is or as a developed site.

Its a developing technology so the term is not well know, but I expect it to be more common in about 2-3 years.
