Does anyone know a source of information from the last recession and others, detailing how many unemployed/employed set up their own businesses after and throughout, percentages, numbers?

Well I'm unlikely to ask for stats the day before new businesses are set up as that's a bit late.

I think that certain things are picking up. I'm certainly seeing much more demand for IT contractors, and companies starting to actually spend again. Agreed, we're not at the end yet, but we might be past the worst. Bear in mind that unemployment lags behind, so those numbers might carry on growing whilst businesses start to make money again.

Never seen so much drivel and weighted stats. No real data, no percentiles or outrigger weightings (-top / bottom). Very little accuracy, relevance & meaning.

A report very much like a lot of media reports that sees what it wants to.
