Hi Guys / Girls

I have been offered £150 for one of my domains

The domain is
tradeexpertsfb6.png

It went like this :

I am interested in purchasing the domain

I replied : Please make an offer in £x,xxx region

They replied : I am only looking to pay £xxx please let me know

I replied : £750 final offer

They replied : if you change the 7 to a 1 we have a deal

So they basically want it for £150

What would you do ?

Take it, they are UK otherwise they would have taken the .org. The .org & .info are available so you are unlikely to get any really good offers...

I never look up .org let alone .info while domaining, and am unsure why they would be relevant.

£150 seems abit low for end user, however the name itself does not strike me as great.

Go back offering to meet half way, so £450 and they have a deal.

Thanks for your response I really appreciate it.

I do personally feel that the .co.uk is much stronger than the .info or .org though.

I also feel it is worth more than £150 myself (but maybe I am biased lol)

Any other views ?

As I have posted before so abit of a cut n paste :) :

The interesting aspect to domaining is there is only one domain.co.uk yet there are substitute goods eg. domains.co.uk edomain.co.uk idomain.co.uk or domain.be etc.

In this case they dont have to have the domain in .co.uk and they could have it in some obscure extension for a couple of quid.

However, I doubt that will happen as .co.uk is a good one to have as it enhances a company / product / user due to its awareness in the UK and that is where the difference in value is.

Superb way of looking at it Rob.

I have emailed them back and said £450 - I shall let you know the outcome

Cheers

Not a name i'd go after but its obviously worth something to them. I'd say you could get much more than £150, wouldn't be surprised if you reel them in at £450 or near that.
