Using an Amazon.com gift voucher

Being based in the UK, I seem to be a bit limited by what I can do with this. Has anyone got any ideas for what to buy...that I can actually purchase from the UK. I have tried kindle editions, but even this appear problematic.

go to amazon.com and spend it. postage costs a bit more, but they ship to the UK (at least they used to)

Picked up a $25 one for filling in a survey hoped to use it for kindle books or something seems that's not allowed. Bloody stupid they can't be spent/converted on the UK site if you find an use let us know

what about books, dvds, blurays? I must admit I used to do it before Amazon had EVERYTHING IN THE WORLD available.
