Dear All,

Hi - my name is Vim and I'm a fine wine trader from London.

I wish I had read all these posts before going mad and buying loads of domains....if only someone had told me estibot was rubbish before.... I've just had a new baby and am a little scared that I may have wasted my money....

Any advice, help, offers would be appreciated. Please tell me where you think I may have gone wrong. I used a scatter gun approach, which means, there may be the odd gem in there?! (one can only hope at this point).

Maybe you'll even tell me to just stick to my day job ....

As you already seem to be aware, the domains you have registered are awful. You are unlikely to receive any offers on here or anywhere else for any of them. Creditfixing and bettingpicks are two of the better ones, but you'd probably have to build a site on them rather than hope for a buy.

Best tip is to not renew any of them, read the archives on here, watch 20 episodes of domainsherpa (google it) and start again. And, always ignore estibot.

I figured so.....I thought given that dictionary words in the states sell for quite a lot, they would here too - but sadly, not the case

If I wanted to sell them off - even at cost just to get them off my books - would you advise I do that through the likes of Sedo, etc..?

The unfortunate truth is that you will be very lucky to sell one or two of these for next to nothing in the time before they expire.

It's a common lesson in domain investment to be honest, so don't feel too bad. Just mark them all as cancelled, read up a bit and start again.

your not the only one to have made mistakes with domains when starting out, most if not all of us on here have made mistakes at the start I personally tend to think of domains like life .we never stop learning and learn some thing new every day.

as has been suggested read read and more reading.

Sedo charge a commission on sales, not for listing.

I certainly wouldn't cancel them. That is throwing money away. Better to list them for sale and hope to sell one or two at a low price, then let the rest expire when the time comes.

List them all here for a fiver starting bid, if you sell a couple for more then it accounts for those you need to cancel.

Will give you a rough idea of what resellers value the domains at too for your next round domain purchases

I wouldnt just delete/cancel them all, id at least try and get something back

I think it's FREE to list on eBay at the minute,so might be worth listing a few on there as a low BIN. You will only be charged a % if a domain sells. Band them on with an auto relist if it doesn't sell
