Hi Guys..

How many unique hits make a website worth something?

This question might sound odd but I know a website getting 5 hits a day is worth pennies.. Could someone give me a rough guideline.

Thanks :)

It's an impossible question to answer. A website about dog turd getting 500 uniques a day is probably worth a lot less than a finance site getting 50 uniques a day!

In general the value of any website is based on its earnings.

Revenue generated is a better way to value a website. If you are generating revenue through AdSense or affiliate programmes, then a website will sell on a multiple of the yearly revenue. A rough guide would be 3 to 4 times yearly revenue.

If you just have traffic then it might be worth adding ads to the site to get a better gauge of potential revenue.
