My domain name ResultsCoach.co.uk was valued by Sedo in 2005 for £1200. Six years on... What would you guys feel the value is now? I'm guessing it has had to have increased?

it wasn't registered until 2010:-?

Regardless of when it was registered it's not worth anything IMO. I wouldn't have reg'd it if it was available.

I have to agree with that ^^^, it's also a term that I've never heard of, and has less than 10 exact searches. I would take Sedo valuations with a pinch of salt, I've seen other valuations by them that were vastly over inflated.

Your domain is worth about £100 to £200 to a life coach instructor if you can find one to buy it :?

" The life coach who gives results "

Results Coach

@websaway, I registered this domain in either 1999 or 2000 along with SuccessCoach.co.uk. About two years ago I lost it and then bought it back when it was to be renewed. So it may not appear to be registered for ten years.
@bensd, I have sold other coaching related domain names for over £1000. There is a large market for 'life coaches' who want easy to recall domains. Results coach is a term used by people such as Anthony Robbins etc.
@Systreg, I don't take sedo to seriously but for the opposite reason, they don't seem to rate anything other than .com's.
Thanks for your 'help',

I'm with you there, mate.

Success coaching and the like will only grow as will web presence for more and more SMBs and there are plenty of life/success coaches here in the UK

Definitely worth in excess of £1K - maybe one of Tony Robbins' UK team might be interested?....

Great domain in my opinion

Cheers

It seems to be quite a niche area. For what it's worth I think the successcoach one sounds better than resultscoach. You could always try approaching people in that industry.

your re purchase was it a catch by you or if not what did you pay if you could just re reg thats an indicator … the .com seams to be doing nothing and the net is up for sale at around the 1k mark with no buyer only end user in my opinion… cant be many in want it wouldnt take long to contact them all if you get no offers there’s your price

Thanks for the comments, it's nice to see someone positive on this forum (keep it up in the future), most of the others seem negative/bitter and certainly out of touch with the industry. Search engines are not the 'be all and end all' of domain marketing. I sold a coach domain of the same amount of letters for £2500 last month and all I did was contact a few people on Linked In and other professional sites. I could have got more should I have spent the time?

Thanks. The SuccessCoach domain I have is quoted on a book that I published in 2001 so it is difficult to sell untill that book is 'un-published'! Thanks for your comments.

I wasn't being negative or bitter, nor am I out of touch with the industry, coaching is not something I'm in to.

It's simply that I've never heard of a 'results coach' before. I've heard of people who do life coaching, didn't know it was related subject, though I can't understand how people are gullible enough to pay someone to coach them in life skills, why

Just had a look on Google to see exactly what life coaching is and got this:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coaching#Life_coaching

I can't believe all these types of coaching are listed:

Life coaching
ADHD coaching
Business coaching
Executive coaching
Expat and Global Executive coaching
Career coaching
Financial coaching
Personal coaching
Health coaching
Sports coaching
Dating coaching
Conflict coaching
Victimisation coaching
Christian coaching

Some of those strike me as plain stupid, and even more stupid that someone would pay another person to coahc them in those areas, I mean, Expat and Global Executive coaching, what the hell is that.

Life coaching

Life coaching is a practice that helps people identify and achieve personal goals. Life coaches help clients set and reach goals using a variety of tools and techniques.

I think it's pretty sad that someone would need to pay a coach to teach them how to do something like identifying and achieving personal goals, because if they can't work that out on their own, they have no chance in life.

yes I've got PersonalCoach co uk and feel good about it.

"Results coach" doesn't strike me as a term which is commonly used. If we were talking about a "life coach" domain then it would most certainly be well in to four figures, and probably five if the right buyer could be found.

Personally I would value yours at an £xxx amount for that reason. You are asking for an appraisal, which is an opinion, so don't take it personally if people offer thoughts which are different from yours. If you plan to disagree with people who have spent time replying, then don't you think it's a bit rude calling them negative or bitter?

Overall I do agree there is value in coaching domains though. I have probably got the best .uk domain related specifically to dating, which has received multiple (unsolicited) £x,xxx offers.

Not at all, mate.

Google Tony Robbins to check out some of the famous and successful people that he has coached

Cheers

I've got a few decent life coaching related domains and have had hardly any interest in them. The google searches of <10 a month for 'Results coach' suggests that no one has heard of the term, like most people in this thread.

Can't see the value myself, but if you know the market and can shift it for 4 figures then good on you.

Grant

It's value is what someone will pay for it. You asked what people would pay for it then called them negative and bitter for telling you lol. Why bother asking...

I can't see much value in it, let us know when you sell it for £xxxx

I was talking about the average man or woman in the street using someone like a life coach, not well known celebrities who seem to follow each other like sheep to do each new fad doing the rounds.

If the OP can get a good price for the results coach name from someone within that industry, then good luck to them.

I can't help thinking that a lot of people are valuing the name as a generic rather than a brandable. As name for some kind of online tool, video tutorial guide, or even for a sports-related site it could work quite well (outside of the lifecoach issues). ResultsCoach would be a good name for a tutor listing site as well.
