Ok, what am I doing wrong? I don't spend a huge amount of time on this forum so maybe I am missing something . I did pay for a premium membership so I would assume domain catchers realise my enquiry is serious.

@ Thudufushi, the bounty, as in saying how much you're offering for the catch.

Whatever it takes, I said to state your terms, I expected offers with a price and a comment on whether you required payment only on success or not. If you want £50 fine, if you want £80 fine, its your choice and I will then make a decision. Are you really saying I have got no offers to do a catch because I didnt put a price on it, I never realised people where that bashful here !

Most private catchers just catch for themselves. It's pot luck how many (if any) will respond to requests on here.

Thanks Grant! Ive submitted via dbcatch anyway. Sounds like I will need to create my own catching setup then..

There are regularly lists of catchers posted, try the search facility.

Even if you create your own catch system, there's no guarantee of success, chances are that if the name is half decent it will be booked in lots of places a long time in advance and there will be lots of competition on the day it drops.

I know, thats why I put a wanted ad for catchers a week in advance

I'd suggest a week is probably far too close to the drop for a popular name to still be available to be booked.

Hi Alex, rather than speculating I am surprised you never referred me to your catching service which I just noticed in your signature! Or is it not up and running? I clicked the read more link on your homepage and it errors.

I don't hang around forums soliciting for business the link is in the sig for anyone wanting to look further

Nobody's reported that error before, will take a look, however, it is just a small config error in an add-on module that creates a duff menu entry. The core code runs fine.

Nobody reported a homepage error before, thats surprising, regardless of whether the site works its an important quality and trust factor and if I hadnt had forum contact with the owner I would have walked away from a site that cannot get its homepage sorted, so you're welcome I brought it to your attention

I assumed you had tried all the retail catchers and was trying to attract the attention of private catchers. To spark their interest it's usual to post offers of assistance with a bounty (reward) in the £xxx+ range. But I gather its not so important to you to secure.

At the business end (catching), monaghan system is up there. The fluff is immaterial.

I can assure you Alexs' service works very well. Caught quite a few names for us.
