Hello all, if you were looking for websites that had link exchanges, what would you search for in google, I thought of

"add your site" football

So the above would hopefully return sites with both football and the phrase add your site.

What would you search for? The reason I'm asking is I want people to find my link exchange pages on my sites so I need to understand what they maybe looking for>

I think most people dislike link exchanges now because they don't have many benefits. If you're looking to get visitors and backlinks then your time is better spent guest posting.

These traditional link exchanges aren't really of any value these days. Any page that you have which has things such as "add your site"... "list of links"... "links directory"... all of that usual link exchange stuff - is going to be getting devalued by Google and thus is fairly pointless.

Link exchanges can still play a significant role if done right, but it's more about networking and making direct connections with people who own related websites to find a mutually beneficial way of linking to one another (this doesn't mean sending 100's of spam emails, either).

Or maybe your time is better spent creating quality content on websites that people will naturally link to (not saying your websites don't have these qualities Mally).

I think this is good advice: http://howigotrich.net/why-being-rubbish-at-affiliate-marketing-sucks/#comment-14653

There's only so far quality content will get you. It's all about the authority you/your site has in itself - that's where the real tweets, shares, backlinks, comments come in. You can write amazing content and maybe two or three people will retweet it. Or you can do another post on '10 of the best Facebook pages' and get 2000 retweets. Depends on how much actual authority you have.
