Your not wrong there, VOIP is crap at the moment, delays, poor audio...the list is endless.

I think wireless networks need to become a lot more common and enchancements in wireless data transmission..this won't happen for sometime yet though.

Although advancements in 4G mobile networks are already underway in Japan and they have managed to acheive some crazy speeds (faster than we could ever hope for here even with fixed lines) in field tests. (Think about OC connection speeds)

I think the next big thing will be wireless high speed data....not completely related to the topic though as I assume you are asking what the next big fad will be in relation to internet development and or online advertising (ways of becoming a millionaire) - all I have to say on that is if I knew it, why would I tell anyone

IMO - Once the dust settles, Carph. Whse and the follow-on industry changes their move will force, IP tel will be beaten...

Right now, it appears their is some bitching over a £30 connection fee, nothing in comparison to some IP phone set-ups...
