Who would of thought that a 21 year old lad, who set up a site selling pixels would of caused such a massive storm on the web?

What do you think will be the next big thing on the internet, or do you think new ideas are far and few between?

I thought it was a scam and the advertising he spent with that PR guy was more then he made.

Next big thing? Peanut butter and marmite sandwiches

According to reports this Pixel Search Engine is set to be the biggest idea yet.

I know I shouldn't rise to the bait - but still:

From Google: "Your search - link:www.mindfreeze.com - did not match any documents."

Most amusing. Go on then, tell us what reports you are referring to, exactly?

In order

1. Internet telephony. You might think this is big already but it has a huge way to go.

2. Identity. Read about Infocard and Higgins.

Your not wrong there, VOIP is crap at the moment, delays, poor audio...the list is endless.

I think wireless networks need to become a lot more common and enchancements in wireless data transmission..this won't happen for sometime yet though.

Although advancements in 4G mobile networks are already underway in Japan and they have managed to acheive some crazy speeds (faster than we could ever hope for here even with fixed lines) in field tests. (Think about OC connection speeds)

I think the next big thing will be wireless high speed data....not completely related to the topic though as I assume you are asking what the next big fad will be in relation to internet development and or online advertising (ways of becoming a millionaire) - all I have to say on that is if I knew it, why would I tell anyone :p

Did Alex Tew really make any hard net profit or was the whole thing just to enhance his cv for when he has to earn a living?

Seeing as it’s Saint Georges Day today and I’m feeling a bit patriotic, I recon the next big thing is England winning the World Cup. :D

…But please whatever you do don’t quote me on that. ;)

With free 8meg broadband and free calls to 28 countries...

IMO - Once the dust settles, Carph. Whse and the follow-on industry changes their move will force, IP tel will be beaten...

Right now, it appears their is some bitching over a £30 connection fee, nothing in comparison to some IP phone set-ups...
