What is the uk mark like for product name with this type of stats?

13,000 is decent but not great exact search quantity. However, it really depends on what the product is.

If the product sells for £20 then the domain may not be worth that much. If the product sells for over £500, for example, then there may be some value in that domain.

There are loads of .org.uk domains free. I come across many every day. Typically. I will consider names with exact search over 15,000. But if the product/service value is high then I will buy below 15,000.

I'd probably reg it depending on the niche and competition and return on investment potential!
I don't tend to go for product names though, niches yes.

I had another look at it and I don't think it is specific enough and as springer said the price is low.

Therefore, I will let this one pass and keep on searching - with the hope that I will find something you guys overlooked

I think snooze means a keyword domain that's a product name (ie. nike trainers for example)

As a newbie you tend to get over excited about buying when you come across certain numbers attach to a name i.e. chrome door handles and forget about the other variables. I did a little extra search and realised the name could refer to home or car and that alone skewed the numbers.

Worthless...waste of time!

Who will buy it? A manufacturer/distributor? NO...its not a .co.uk or .com!

What are you going to do with it yourself if you have no end user? Develop? If you dont manufacture or sell this product yourself then you are left with being an affiliate...whats going to be your commission 1%? 5%???.

So you are left with building a web site...how many HOURS is that going to take??? You cant use a template or BANS as it wont rank in search results unless you spend EVEN MORE hours on SEO...

So you are left with spending hours and MONEY on develpment and SEO...for your, what was it again 5% cut...you must be insane!!

If you are sitting at home, bed ridden, or have no functioning limbs, and typed this post with an antenna stuck to your forehead, then yes your domain is a runner...

Dont buy crap that you will drop in two years. There are thousands and thousands of these names available, this is 2009 not 1999, why do you think they are still available? Because they are WORTHLESS!!! Save your £7 or whatever you are paying in reg fee and invest in a decent name...

I disagree to some extent. It does not have to take hours to build an affiliate website to get a return. Take a look at Systreg and his bike domains on myaffsite (it may not last much longer but he has got a decent return already). Also look at accelerator's sites - some of which are .org.uk.

I think there is some value in being an affiliate without spending "hours".

Point well taken nnh, but as I said elsewhere on this forum alot of the good ones are already taken and with a minimum wage budget I have to buy them cheap and develop.

Thanks to the forum I am learning what to buy and what not to.
