I work for a company called Domain Express, and we've developed a new utility called Express Search.

It functions exactly like Google's instant search, except for domains - so that when you search for a domain, for every character you add to the search, you get an immediate response. It's much faster than searching in the usual fashion.

I was wondering whether this would be of interest to you all? I understand a lot of you use bulk search to find your domains, but would this be more efficient? If not, what suggestions would you have on improving it?

Any and all feedback is appreciated, take a look at www.domainexpress.co.uk

How do you define "bulk search"? Does your tool work for .co.uk domains?

As for suggested improvements, hard to make those sight unseen!

By 'bulk search' I was referring to the search tools like this:

http://www.dynadot.com/domain/bulk-search.html

that allow you to search for many domains in one go. Did a little sleuthing on this forum and as far as I could tell a lot of people look for their domains i this manner.

In regards to your comment on suggested improvements, I must admit I'm not sure what you mean by 'hard to make those sight unseen'. Perhaps I'm just being dumb.

Oh and yes, it most certainly does work for .co.uk domains. You can take a look at it at our site: domainexpress.co.uk

It's alright, not a bad job you've done.

Well thank you very much Martin! We're extremely pleased with it ourselves, but we also figured that although its impressive to the average user, you guys on this forum will probably already have your tricks for finding the domains your after.

Would you consider using it to find domains in the future, or have you got something you feel is more efficient?

It's nice and fast and seems handy if you want to quickly check variations of a term, but I'm struggling to see how it would replace bulk search. If you've got a list of 100 specific domains you'd have to type or paste each one in manually!

Good job though, I'm sure your average customer will like it.

Grant

On the Homepage it says:

'Buy a domain name today at the lowest price in the UK. Or your money back!'

Can you point me to the T&C's for this please. As when I click 'Learn More' it dosen't say any more about this.

When I posted that, there was no link to the tool (my comment probably makes more sense in that context)

Ah I get it now! Yeah I realised I probably should have linked it, so I edited my original post. I was really racking my brains trying to figure out what you meant...

Agree with Grant. Your homepage is excellent and is indeed faster than most registrars. Really nice feel to it.

BUT your bulk search tool:

Don't see any advantage with using it unfortunately.

Oh we completely agree Diablo. We've set our sights on our bulk search, that's our next project. Hopefully I can come back to you guys soon with a fresh one that's of more use!

Hello SpiderSpider,

thanks for pointing that out! That's actually left over from a deal we did recently, where we were offering .co.uk domain registration for only 50p. It seems we have forgotten to take it off! Hence why there was no link to the terms and conditions...

I wish I had known about this site when we did that offer, I'm sure many of you would have been happy to take advantage of it. Perhaps I'll come back the next time we do something like that!
