2. ... Often cancelllation would just get the domain name picked up by another abusive registration, and suspension is a bit of a nuisance for us and useless to both parties.
...

What is suspension/ cancellation supposed to mean?

Suspension - we put an entry on the register which prevents the d/n from resolving (to anything). It removes it from the zone file, basically. So it stays registered, but doesn't function in any way.

Cancellation - the name becomes available on a first-come first-served basis. Anyone can pick it up, including the previous registrant.

like this?

www.blakeaerials.co.uk

If you're still seeing the site and shouldn't be, perhaps its your browser cache.

Peter

Then again, I'm an idiot - just realised after posting the above that I can see it too :???:

so bounce.co.uk could have been cancelled?

The blakeaerials.co.uk DRS dates back to 2001. The expert decided upon suspension and then cancellation.

If you do a WHOIS then you'll see that blakeaerials.co.uk was registered in 2002 - presumably after it was cancelled.

So there's nothing iffy about you being able to access it today.
