Hi All,
I wanted to share what I’ve been building with DomainUI over the past few weeks, particularly DomainUI Boost, and how it fits together with the Domain Directory and domain landers.
At its heart, DomainUI.com is being built to help domain owners organise, park, present and promote their domains from one connected platform.
Members can add domains to their portfolio, publish them in the DomainUI Domain Directory, and give each domain its own professional lander.
The problem with any growing domain directory is visibility. As more domains are added, even good names can quickly disappear amongst thousands of others. That is why I created DomainUI Boost.
DomainUI is not limited to .co.uk domains. The platform supports domains across a wide range of extensions including .uk, .com, .ai, .net, .org and many more, so owners can manage and promote mixed portfolios from one place.
How DomainUI Boost works
Members can use DomainUI Tokens to promote the domains they most want people to notice.
Every Boost adds ranking strength to that domain and allows it to compete for higher positions across DomainUI.
A promoted domain can rank across:
- Global leaderboard
- Domain extension leaderboards
- Relevant category leaderboards
New members currently receive 25 free DomainUI Tokens, so they can try the Boost system using domains they have added to their portfolio.
Boosting is not a domain valuation. It does not change the asking price of a domain or suggest that one domain is worth more than another.
It is simply a transparent way for owners to give selected domains more visibility across DomainUI.
Where the landers fit in
Boost helps a domain get noticed.
The lander gives an interested buyer somewhere useful to go next.
The journey is basically:
Boost the domain → increase visibility → attract attention → send visitors to the lander → provide a clear route to enquire or purchase
Depending on the owner’s settings, a DomainUI lander can provide options including:
- Make an Enquiry
- Make an Offer
- Buy Now
- Auctions
- Broker support
- Secure transactions through Escrow.com
So the Domain Directory, Boost and landers are designed to work together, rather than being separate features.
What else I’m building into DomainUI
My wider aim is to create a practical home for more of the domain lifecycle.
Alongside the Directory, Boost and domain landers, DomainUI is being developed to help members:
- Organise and monitor domain portfolios
- Choose whether to use a domain lander or build an Amazon store
- Manage enquiries and buyer conversations
- Create seller profiles and domain collections
- Discover domains, auctions and buyer requests
- Research and analyse domain opportunities
- Track interest and performance signals
- Explore ways to develop or monetise suitable domains
- Manage more of the domain sales process in one place
DomainUI.com is the marketplace and discovery platform, helping buyers find domains for sale. DomainUI.net is the parking and management platform, where owners manage, park and monetise their domains. Together, they connect domain management with promotion and sales.
The aim is for DomainUI to be more than another static list of domains for sale.
I want domain owners to have useful tools for actively managing, presenting and promoting their domains, while giving buyers a more interesting way to discover them.
Members remain in control of their domains, prices, lander settings and which names they choose to Boost.
There is still a lot I want to add and improve, and feedback from domain owners is an important part of building it.
