Where can I find a list of 'local' sites

Hi all,

I'm not sure if anyone can help me on this.

I'm looking for a directory or a list of local network sites. Sites like http://www.itchycity.co.uk and http://www.view.co.uk that have many sites covering local regions.

I've never heard of a list, like that.

I have bookmarked a number of geodomain networks, mostly US based, such as http://www.boulevards.com/ - happy to share more if it helps.

For the national franchise types there are:

The Best Of
Activ [townname]
City Local

and quite a few others...

From national media groups there are:

The Local People (by Northcliffe)
This Is.. (also by Northcliffe)
The Guardian are trialling a few
Trinity Mirror have more than a few.

Some independents of differing sizes

Geoware Media (Acorn member)
Hyperlocal Network
Cut Media - London streets at the moment.
Town Focus (Acorn member) think they are based in Wales

Citys.info (Acorn Member), a hybrid franchise/independent offering

There are a few more Acorn members with very nice geodomain portfolios that are planning something too, apologies if I missed you out.

There is lots of movement in smaller one off news sites too, see Openly Local for a big list.
