I buildind a drop catch script, the main tlds work but Whois.nic.uk does not work.

How are you using the whois within the script? Do you have your own Nominet Tag and DAC access?

Whois.nic.uk is picky about the carriage return/line feed when submitting a query, maybe try messing around with those. Can't really advise anymore as you're basically providing zero information - error messages etc ???

Also, you're gonna catch jack all with whois.nic.uk, you're limited to 1000 queries a day against the dacs 432000!!
