Just had the following email with the subject:
thepiratebay .org.uk and dtm .org.uk

It has been brought to my attention that you are using your domain names for business or trading purposes and are also opted out of our WHOIS search facility as a consumer. To opt-out, you must be, and remain a 'consumer' i.e. an individual who has registered and is using the domain name for a purpose unconnected with any business, trade (this includes the registration of domain names for monetisation purposes, e.g. pay per click etc) or profession.

Please note that I will remove the 'opt out' tomorrow and the address details that we hold for you will be published on the WHOIS search facility at http://www.nominet.org.uk/go/whois.

The reason for this is that the domain name is being used as part of a business, trade or profession.

If you wish to continue to remain opted out of our WHOIS you will need to arrange for the web site to be changed so that you do not advertise business activities using this domain name.

If you have any questions please do contact me...........

Is this common, or a new thing? I've never used dtm .org.uk for anything commercial, although recently because I moved it from one server to another it is now forwarding to cinematimes.co.uk, will get that changed immediately!

It's fairly common, the main worry when you get one of these is who reported it and why!

Grant

Those were my thoughts exactly, It's fair enough for the TPB one since it does contain PPC ads, but the other one dtm .org.uk I've only ever used as personal site / email. It's just I'd been moving server and I've pointed all my idle domains at the site I'm promoting.

I replied with this:
Hi ____,

Thank you for your email, Please could you leave dtm .org.uk opted out since, I'm only using that for email, and a personal wesbite in the past. Although I realise because of a server change it had become redirected to one of my companies sites. As for thepiratebay .org.uk, I suppose you have to remove the opt-out.

Kind Regards,
David
