Looking to get a garden office in the new year for one side of my garden.

Been looking about and there's some great buys out there for under £1K. Anyone got any recommendations or have one at home?

If so, who did you use - what did you do for electric, heating and internet access, etc? :D

Did you build it yourself if you have one, if so, was it easy to do or did you get it put up?

Could do with our resident shed expert too (Wilco?) on this!

Thanks!

I was looking at this recently. If you fancy a bit of DIY there's a good blog of someone who did the same here, his won the garden office category on Uncle Wilco's Shed of the Year 2010, and he's written an eBook on the subject.

GeoMal Dominic's shed is great and he built it himself :)

Alien - I don't have a garden office myself so feel free to ignore me...

1k does seems like good price but you would need a solid base (with drainage) and a sparky in to get all the electrics above board (how far from the house etc - trench needed etc?) - plus the time (or pay some blokes) to put it up...

one thing that people who have garden offices say is "Get lots of quality insulation" even if you have heating... a lot of these cabin sheds only come with basic insulation and some none at all.

One of our shed of the year judges is Alex from http://www.shedworking.co.uk - specialises in info on garden offices so his blog is a good start

anyway good luck and I look forward to seeing it entered in the Garden office category for 2013 :)
