For those running shopping sites it must be one of the biggest weeks of the year.

Welcome back to development!! If I was building a site, I'd certainly be strongly considering mobile but it really depends on the type of site. If you can do responsive then that's probably the way to go. The affiliate networks are making a noise about mobile, but my gut feeling is it's probably tablets that are making the shopping sales.

I've never tried making a purchase on my mobile and don't really fancy trying it. However, some of the apps available nowadays are pretty awesome, i.e. Spotify, Strava, Twitter etc.

I'm starting small and simple with what's essentially a single page site where each page gets archived daily so I'm going mobile first. I have bought on mobile usually at 2am in the morning in bed when I find a bargain

Mobile is definitely the future. I expect I will try buying something on my mobile in the not too distant future, particularly if I upgrade my current Galaxy S2 for something with a bigger screen.

Regarding the future of mobile from a VC perspective, @benedictevans is definitely worth a follow on Twitter, and his newsletter is good too.
