Worst Name you ever bought?

Ever bought a name and then a few minutes ask yourself what the hell was you thinking?

(did this recently with c4h10.com which being a science nerd is the name for butane, used in camping stoves etc, but sadly forgot hardly anyone knows this ha, unlike the common c02/h20)

so worst domains?

I thought I hand reg'd business school.co.uk but was one s short and actually reg'd businesschool.co.uk which is a bit pants and a bit of a disappointment, I was quite smug for a few minutes until I realised it.

When i regged it i never knew how to check back links proper
So when i seen it had 4300 back links i jumped at it.

It was the name of a band who used it as their sig link on a music forum and with in 1 month all links had died

Scottj, i know the feeling on wrong spelling, i found a .com with PR1 on the term sex site and regged the .co.uk
The site is sexulus.com and i quickly regged sexulas.co.uk then realised my mistake and had to reg again

... about ten years ago, and despite them being daft, I have still kept up the renewals. How's that for stupid?

listen to me very carefully - what you have described is a mere drop in the ocean compared to the amount of shit I have bought over the years - doh!

I have wasted at least 5k on domains. Back in the day when i was kiddie and did know what i was doing (same as now really) I reg'd domains at £50/£80- a pop with a norwegian company called activeISP - it got so bad they refered me to 'intrum justicia' (some people here will realise they mean business

)

Anyway binned domaining for a few years only to come back and reg/buy more shite. I estimate I have bought around 200 shite domains in my time and have spent near 100k on domains to date and made about 0.50p

that should make you feel better...

(reaches for 4th friday night lager..)

p.s does anyone want to buy a domain?

when i first saw domains many years ago,i saw a site selling names link alwayer.co.uk, abutcher.co.uk listed at 10k each. Clever me went and regstiered loads of "a" names such as abakery, anewsagent etc etc

lol cant remember, i think i should keep this quiet but i was phoning people telling them i was going to be richhhhhhhhhh hahaa. Was only 20 or so and 32 now but still remember it clear as day. I then went and regged worse names for 2 years
