Hi looking for a website that allows gas engineers to place themselves on this site and also for customers to leave feedback on the engineers and for the site to have an interactive map on the site any help would be helpful thanks

Mate I wouldn't put too much money into this project, Corgi is trademarked to high heaven and should imagine they certainly challenge any succesful site.

They'll probably ignore you while you are small, but soon as you get well known, bang they'll do their best to shut you down.

My advice get in and make a quick buck and sell on, Corgi are another not for profit organisation with endless pockets, not worth taking on.

All the best with it,

GW

Hi Greywing

They are a not for profit and not a commercial organisation so have no rights to the name as in the case Neil Oneil vs TheRoyalMarines.

Also their name was reg in 96 as corgi-gas.co.uk and they could have challenge me when the reg their next name in 06 as trustcorgi.co.uk if they had a trademark i think they would have taken my domain then

Thanks for your advice BUT im still looking for a website to go with this domain

No probs mate,

I'd just hate to see you build up a big site and then have these people challenge you in the courts.

Not too sure about not for profit not being able to challenge, I imagine if I had nominet.com and had any kind of domain service up there, they would go ballistic.

but as long as you are confident in your rights, I think it's a good name and you should go pretty far with it. There are plenty of ads to run on it and not even google adsense will pay out pretty high in this market I'd imagine.

Best of luck

Thanks for your advice Grey Wing.As for names you have a good one in toyotaprius.co.uk did you have any trouble from toyota with this one

nope mate they never come to me on it,

I usually just buy and put up one or 2 page minisites that will earn double the reg fee back over the 2 years, anything more is a bonus.

Best I think I could hope for is a quick site, few google adsense and a £200 buy out from Toyota if they ever contested, if not just surrender it.

Have you tried Joomla for yours, they have some pretty neat review add-ons that should do what you are looking for, cheaper than a full web build. Probably get someone to do it for you for less than £150.

I've got one being built for garagereviews.co.uk which is probably almost identicle to what you are after
