why is it that domainers think any negative comments towards their fresh regged domain is like calling their baby ugly?

so i got flamed earlier for posting in a sales thread. not only that, but i got negative rep left.

fair enough, it's not nice having people piss all over your thread.. so we just stand back in silence, is that the drill then?

there are seriously thousands if not 10's or 100's of thousands of real crappy domains registered, we see them every day, and those poor suckers have the £ sucked out of them by the renewals.

and we all sit there together and think "crap". but it's wrong to voice that opinion, even if the intention is to assist... because it's not an appraisal thread. Got it.

and yeah i'm the person who answers honestly the question of "does my ass look big in this".

why would someone want you putting off potential buyers?

I understand your point but wouldnt a PM to the OP suffice?

I see what you are saying mate but you have to stand back sometimes and let people learn the hard way through renewals, it's how we all learn.

However one man's crap is another man gold.

Best thing to do is just stay out of it if it isn't your thread. Not having a go, we all feel like saying something sometimes but experience tells us to not bother sometimes.

However if you think something is fraudulent or misleading in a post then that is something different.

Your right, a bunch of crap domains from all of us.

You're calling yourself Alpha male so lead the way and show us some of your mighty fine examples.

Has for dissing someones domain in their sales thread, imagine you paid for an advert in your local paper and because the editor thought you was expensive, he ' had rip off ' wrote across your ad.

because I thought the domain was undeniably such a stinker, there was no danger of scaring off any buyers.

I could be wrong of course, and maybe it isn't such a stinker, in which case, I'll pack up and go home, because I clearly am missing something.

nice. of course the other way you could look at it is maybe I was trying to do good, and not just out for a fight for no reason - but that would be too easy for you.

have it your way, think what you like. I'll stfu in future.

That might be wise. You have been here long enough, so you know the rules.

I will be looking out for your next sales thread, so that I can take the piss in it. However 90 odd posts in 4 years, so I could be waiting a while

Can't post comments in sales threads, only questions and offers! ;)

Rules are rules:

1. DO NOT post derogatory remarks in any sales threads or attempt to "appraise" the name(s) for sale. If you wish to do this, see the appraisals forum. The ‘Domains for Sale’ or ‘Wanted’ forums are here for members to post domain names for sale so please do not post unsolicited appraisals and advice - such posts will be removed. If the domain is posted in the ‘Domain Appraisal’ forum then your opinion is always valued.

2. Only post within a thread if you have questions about the domain(s), the sale or are interested in the name(s).

It couldn't be any clearer. Thread Closed.
