I do admit that Google keeps on changing the SERP; perhaps it is because websites having the same topic keeps on updating their pages and the fact that new websites are created. In some cases of the keywords, I notice slight difference in results found by Google.
I fail to understand when Google increases the PageRank of a website from two to three and later on makes changes by decreasing the same website's PageRank from three to a PageRank of one. What do you think could be happening with such changes?
Facebook is just another online marketing strategy. Companies use it to get more potential buyers. People join the fan pages of companies and from there they might click the link that will direct them to their websites. So, facebook is not helping in killing generic domains.
For your case plural is a better choice as it gets more traffic compared to singular. For me I will have singular then register plural which I will forward to the singular name (domain name). I will do this in order to avoid losing traffic if only I have singular registered name.
Since there is little to be earned from these domain names, it is better you tried selling them on eBay or domain name forums that allow advertising domain names for sale. Perhaps park them and through this you will be able to get a buyer.
Domain name is all about creativity. One can create domains from commercial adverts which are catchy. How do you go about coming up with a new domain name to sale or for your online business?::)
Probably this registrar company has been in business for long time and this is one quality of determining a good registrar company. However there are others that are good like sedo MadDogDomains etc..
