What is the best way to get a handful of quick back links when launching a new website??

Any Tips much appreciated

Cheers

Best thing to do is to keep a list of directories to submit to and blogs to comment on, and also carefully link a few of your other websites together.

Also, people post for link exchanges or offer a link in return for a guest post on here too; that will take longer unless you outsource the writing. If you have any established accounts on forums, add a link to your signature.

If you have some kind of budget and aren't opposed to the idea you could pay for sponsored posts too (sidebar/footer links will be a lot more expensive).

If you are just looking to get your site indexed then submit your site to a list of domain/site valuation engines. This online tool will do it automatically for you: sitevaluestats.com

The backlinks will be worth nothing but will get your site indexed very quickly. You may want to consider the negative backlink profile this will create initially for your site and so you may not want to adopt it for sites that you are wanting long-term gains from/spending a lot of time on.

Participate commenting in various dofollow blogs and submit articles to directories.

I did read not to create many backlinks at first or your site could get blacklisted, I heard to keep it sub 100? I;ve got a dofollow blog, feel free to comment on there if you like.

What is the URL of you blog, mate?

Either:

A: Get a firefox add on for form filling, a directory list and start filling in.

B: Set your five mini websites up on different IP's, do the above and submit each to dmoz with a hail Mary prayer.

C: Join reciprocal link directories.

plenty of good advice already given, go easy on the backlinking and be careful when linking your own domains.

free press release services are also good and many allow links

be sure to post on facebook & twitter

Please. If you have nothing original to offer to the thread then please leave it alone.

I come here to give 11+ years of knowledge. Not to listen to people saying that good advice has already been given.
