1 and 1 nameserver change

Does anyone know how to conduct a 1and1 nameserver change

Don't have an account any more but from memory nameserver change is pretty simple an option from list of domain names I think in control panel.

If you are talking TAG change then that is a different matter, not obvious in the slightest (at least it wasn't)

Open up the package containing the domain, get the domain overview list and tick the checkbox on the domain you want to change then go DNS>Edit DNS Settings and on that screen where it says Nameserver with a drop-down select 'My Nameserver' from the list and it opens up a screen to change it.

Changing anything with 1&1 at the weekend takes added time to take effect.

TAG changes are from a completely different control panel.

At the point of DN settings is doesn't have a drop down menu or say My Namserver.. there is a message that says 1&1 name server (unmodifiable)

Is the A-record changeable or is it marked unmodifiable too?

Maybe a tag change would be easier?

are you selecting one domain at a time, it won't let you do multiples.

And is the tag definitely with oneandone and not a imported domain with the tag elsewhere.

Failing that, only thing I can think of is if it is a .com and locked, in which case you need to unlock it.

I had the same message, it took around 7 hours before I was able to change the dns to something else

Basic DNS setting >1&1 name servers
Advanced DNS settings> Other IP address

it's a friends .co.uk and the only domain in the account he regged some years ago and used it for business.

they have schlund.de servers and mail servers 1and1.co.uk
