Sorry to keep hogging the news threads, but I thought this might be generally interesting as last month marks first year anniversary since DM launch. (it is nearly a month out of date)
    • Last month we have seen 6 times more offers coming in than the equivalent month last year.
    • In 2016 avg offer around £100, in 2017 around 200
    • Highest offer in 2017 has been just shy of 100k
    • 1st 6 months – around £75K worth of offers
    • Last 6 months - £630K
    • 8 times more £ offered in the 2nd half of the year
    • Predict £5M worth of offers by Mar’18
    • Average offer on premium UK domain = £1500
    • Average offer on all UK domains = £120
 
Thanks for sharing the stats.

How many domains were on the platform last year and this? It would help to give more context to the increase in the number of offers. Or if you'd rather not say, for competitive reasons, would you be willing to at least talk in ratios (e.g. twice as many offers, but 1.65x as many domains)?
 
We have nearly 6000 domains on DM platform, delivering regular enquiries and sales. The way I use the service would exclude our figures from the opening stats of this thread. Most sales are £xxx and some into four figures.

I am pleased with the way DM performs, and the prompt response for support or occasional mods. There is a small upfront cost to use DM, but that is buttons compared with sales commission of 10% or more charged by other services.
 
Love DM use it a lot - have had plenty of XXX sales on there. Even had one XXXX sale....

The initial fee never bothered me, it was the thought of giving up the parking revenue. Albeit not great - but something... But yeah, totally worth it.

Go through bouts where we do EXCESSIVE amounts of outreach - and when we point to the site and say 'don't reply to this email. if you're interested, just ahead and put your offer in directly on the site' - this seems to convert better than if you say 'please reply to this email if interested' or whatever !!!!

Would be nice if DM also did add some sort of parking revenue. Best of both no?
 
There is an abundance of buyers in the range of DL selling prices. Ambitious pricing will achieve some sales into four or five figures, but unless buyers are committed to a particular name they can often find a cheaper, comparible alternative in the current market.
