this company is a ******* liability. Check all your domains you've regd recently, I just listed one on here in conversation, went to check it had gone through from a few days ago and they took payment but didn't reg it, I dare not look at the others yet as I'll hit the roof if they've lost me domains I've bought.

I sent an email to them from the other night, 48 hour support as usual. I see the domain is regd now, can I help with anything else? yes you useless buggers, can I have my £18 back after three failed attempts, now they can add another £6 to the refund list. so angry.

I can't do this anymore, this lot will bloody bankrupt me and I'll still have every penny, not forgetting lose me domains, nominet should suspend their membership.

I need a new provider, similar .co.uk prices, same or better domain management services (bar the registrations), any recommendations please?

Ive never had an issue to that magnitude with 123.

I also have an 0800 number for their support team

glitches

Lee,
as you know i've had big probs with 123 too & have been coating them all week. the 2 main problems i think i know why they happen now. sometimes if you put a batch through it can overdo it with them so send through 10 max. next , sometimes it will ommit one from you're control panel for no reason, usually cos it's been regged with 123 before & dropped & noones had it. as long is in whois, it can be added to your control panel by them. ( yeah, 48 hours later, at best)
The big problem on the payment system is if you click sole trader (which i did sometimes & other times individual, 'cos don't really matter & you can change) their system won't allow you to opt out of whois if you are soletrader, or so they tod me. it does explain though why the payment went through on a batch of 10 & didn't reg any, which killed me. Tried it just leaving it alone on individual details & was okay. Hope you don't have any more probs with them. Their site often does it when you are sitebuilding, you click to save & it goes back to the homepage. I was one centimetre from putting my fist through the flatscreen last night, the second time it stole another hour of graft. Anyhow, cheers, Predator :-D

me neither - their passive service eg. they dont phone or send you loads of offers etc combined with a simple yet complete interface suits me perfectly. And now david hasselhoffs on board! ;) (pipex adverts)

i've had a few issues but nothing as consistant with those mentioned above. Normally an email and its sorted.

i find the "view all account activity" the best guide - it will show all double regs and attempted registrations even if they dont appear in the control panel. (i do check this regularly)

Yes but aint you lot got tags? you don't reg through 123 do you? it's completely different if you're actually relying on a company to reg a domain straight away on the spot when you ask compared to transferring in and the management of.

The management is great but the registration and accounting is crap as is support, **** knows why I call at 50p a minute because they keep making mistakes, I'm getting soft as I get older, ten years ago I'd have ripped their heads offs.

the hoff!

agreed ... the Hoff.....or is it Sir.Hoff ? Either way, what a leg-end! LOL

0800

Charlie,
if i put you on my christmas card mailing list, any chance of that 0800 number being pm'd my way? That is pure Gold. Probably to send to Lee as well before he drives to Nottingham & does to 123 what Michael Douglas did in Falling Down!

123-reg are far from perfect, but ukreg aren't without fault either as I have had serious problems with them too

123reg

.yes I'm wth them for a few hundreds...only 2/3 problems....I can't help but wonder...with domains generating income...why not on a 24/7 call scheme...I hate to admit it but aol @£7.99 pm..all landline call free...just hate delays once call goes through....z

I could do with a pm of their 0800 number too please ... I've spent more than enough already.

Hi Guys / Girls

I have registered in the last couple of weeks about 15 domains with these guys, one failed although it appeared in my control panel and was eventually sorted, the other they took my money, never appeared and someone else registered it 2 days later - am still awaiting a refund, although I am told it takes a few days.

On balance their system is easy to use, I registered a .com today using GoDaddy as with the £ 1 nearing the $ 2.00 mark who would pay 123's price for .coms ! but I have to say GoDaddy's portal is designed to be complicated and make you accidentaly order other services etc !

Best Regards

John
