2 Character .co.uk domains

I am puzzled as to why 1 party has been allowed to register a
2 character .co.uk domain name, namely tv.co.uk ? This seems
unfair and discriminatory and a breach of the european convention
of equality.

Any ideas ?.

i think theres some kind of loop hole in the law that says that you can renew 2 letter registrations but once they drop nominet wont make them available again?

Not 100% on that though - so if you can find the early registers of these domains you might get lucky.

You cannot transfer them any more I believe even if you had £xxx,xxx+ to buy them.

go.co.uk / bt.co.uk are others, I think there is about 4 or 5 of them
