Few years back i asked how much 3 domains i bought were worth, they were valued at 0.

I kept one of them as a hobby www.tobaccoprices.co.uk.

2 years on i have had 381,388 Views ( Google adsence stats )

It runs out in 1 months time, if i renewed would i be able to sell it for anything or am i better of with adsence ?

Adsence made £1,437 to date

You can always invite offers on a domain here at Acorn. You don't have to accept any of the offers if you don't want to. That will give you an idea of how much the domain is worth. My expectation is that you won't get any decent offers on the domain alone, so you will be better off with AdSense.

Rgds

2 years ago they didn't have £1,437 in earnings and 381,388 views. Were they valued at that time or valued on the data from 2 years later? ;)

they had nothing and were pretty new, so the question is still open as to if its worth anything?

I can provide evidence that its had almost 400k views.

Not been advertised no google adwords ect. these were all natural

I think it depends how much it's made in the last 6 months (right up to this current moment) and if those earnings are stable? because 2 years and £1,437 is too vague.

If it made £1,437 in the first 14 months but then dropped like a stone and has made nothing since, it's value is 0.

On the other hand if it's made the bulk of it's money in the last 6 months it's worth a lot more than if the earnings were spread out.

Its earned way more in the the last 3/4 months than any other time.

Well, for me (and this is just my opinion) if I wanted to buy a site like this I would only want to buy it for how much it's earned in the last 6 months.

The reason being, say it's made £800 in the last year and I buy it for £800, I'm probably going to have to wait a year before I make my money back and then wait another year to make £800

£800 invested to only make £800 in 2 years with the threat of google rolling out an algorithm at any time and it losing it's ranking and money making ability, not a great gamble.

I think you've done well though with it (assuming it's making a passive income), you saw a little niche and made some money, hats off to you.

not the domain it is the website

Well done in commercial terms in making money from your venture.

But it is not the domain it is the website that you built that generated the money.

Some of the value of a domain, is it stands a better chance of succeeding even without EMD as a website if it is relevant to the clients needs, appears specialized on the area of interest or authoritative.

The more people who can see that opportunity and the more consumers interested in that area, the alternative domains available and the more profit there is an a product or service all those factors will help determine the price of the domain.

If anybody is going to commit the time and money to build, maintain and host a website, which may be £100 or £100,000 what is £20 to £2,000 for a relevant and quality domain name that will help the investment in the website payback quicker and stronger?

Interhacker,
I think those are nice earnings thus far, and it sounds/reads/looks like your revenue is growing exponentially which is a good thing. If I were you, I'd hang on to it and just let it grow. Those little earners add up.
